Pappadeaux

I haven’t been to Pappadeaux since I was in college. It’s possible that it has been longer than that. Junior High maybe? For whatever reason, I had a hankering a few weeks back. I’m so glad we went. In fact,we’ve already been back for a second time.

First off, their portions are huge. I suggest ordering one of their ‘lunch’ entrees. We tried the seafood pasta, sausage and seafood gumbo, Beefsteak tomato salad with blue cheese crumbles, crab cakes and the Mahi Mahi Alexandria.

Our extravaganza was over a duration of two visits. Both times, we left more than enough food on our plates for left overs. If only we had an option to go home afterwards and put our doggy bags in the fridge. All of our entrees were great. The only thing that didn’t live up to the other dishes was the gumbo. Maybe the bisque is where it’s at.
